Conduct and Attitude

SBYSA believes youth sports programs play an important role in promoting the physical, social andemotional development of children. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches and officials to encourage youth athletes to embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Adults involved in youth sports events should be models of good sportsmanship and ought to lead by example by demonstrating fairness, respect and self control.

SBYSA understands that it is easy for even the most well intentioned parents to get caught up in theirchildren’s sports and engage in behavior that contradicts the objectives youth sports are supposed to embody. We understand an occasional slip is forgivable, but if this agrragious behavior becomes routine, or a single event so severe, SBYSA will take the necessary actions to keep our players, officials, and spectators safe and keep the game enjoyable. We ask each parent of our players, both in-house and recreational travel to read and sign the Parents Code of Conduct
